Interior Lakes
« on: March 04, 2005, 10:15:53 PM »

Drove home from the coast today. Both Courtney & Corbett were covered with a couple inches of water over the ice. Springs coming.

Landed a few just under 20", lots of fun on a 5wt. Drove past Courtney & Corbett early this morning you can tell that the ice has melted back from the edge about 75-100' in the heat of the day. I came through around 6:30am.

Just came back from Paul Lake today - still iced over, about 4" thick....but it's starting to go.  I'd guess another couple of weeks.   I think Paul Lake is about 2000 - 2500' just east of Kamloops.

I'm up at Paul Lk again this weekend (elev 2500') the ice is coming off fast.  Its receding out into the lake, I expect another week and it'll be open.  Looks like an early start this year(usually mid-April for ice off)......Rod, your plan for May/June should maybe moved up a bit.
