today at berry's
« on: April 16, 2005, 08:28:43 PM »

hi rodney

my son jack and i met you today at berry's
thanks for the tips

i think that we are going to give the local lakes a rest (after last years total haul of 1 trout :P) and while i am sure that you have probably done this about a million times already

where is that dock again in richmond? i think i found a pic of it at the father's day event but an address or directions would probably help.
we re going to try a worm - keep it simple -and try to find a fish. other suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks again

Was everything in the store 15% off or what was it on specific items ? Just checked my receipt and it doesn't show any discount.

i was there on friday,as far as i know, not everything is 15% off, only on selected item, like fishing line had 20% off,so you have to ask them first,if you are not sure.

Nice to meet you today. :)

The pier I am referring to at the shop is London's Landing. It is located at the southern foot of No. 2 Road. Just go all the way to the end of No. 2 Road south, you'll see a mountain bike park in front of you. Turn left, follow the road briefly and you'll see the pier, parking lot on your right.

Best time is during incoming tide.

Here's tomorrow's tide for Vancouver: http://www.dairiki.org/tides/daily.php/van/2005-04-10

Add about one hour onto that to get the Steveston tide.

If you go tomorrow late afternoon around 6pm, it should be good as the tide is coming in.

Remember to keep that worm on the bottom, that's where the fish are. Fish close to the pier, not really far out. Just drop the line down from the floating dock.

I'll post more info later if you have more questions.

----------------------------------------------------------

FA, I disappeared before I could catch up to you today. The reason there was no discount on your receipt is that you ate too many hot dogs. ;)
