Capilano June 14
« on: June 14, 2005, 03:25:16 PM »

Fished the Cap this afternoon for a while. My solitude was broken by the arrival of CF (Confused Fisherman) who crashed through the bushes while making a huge ruckus. We fished together for an hour. CF hooked 6 rockfish using his gorgeous roe. Man those berries look awesome ! There were a few guys out but no success that we could see.

both of you  fish the cap quite often and it is a little disturbing to hear the lack of cap coho caught this year compared to last year this time. there should be lots of cap coho this time year for this system. maybe they will show up with the massive pink run in a ccouple of months.....maybe.

CF: There is only one word to describe your roe today: Sweeet ! They are the best eggs I have ever seen. If you are real nice, I will give you some of my homemade rubber worms for the recipe. As you have said on numerous occasions, they are deadly for steelheads.

Pecan Sam, according to my log the cohos are later than last year. Let's hope they show up en mass soon !
