Were does it say that they should not be targeted??  or is that just a subtle suggestion so as not to impact the spawners? Can you not C&R? All the other rivers listed in the table specifically state when there is no fishing allowed

Anyways, back to that salmon regulations page, click on Area 2 on the map (Seymour River is in that area). On that page, you'll find a table with the openings and daily quotas of salmon species. IF THE SALMON SPECIES ARE NOT LISTED IN THE TABLE, THEY ARE CLOSED TO RETENTION AND SHOULD NOT BE TARGETED.

You're right, catch and release does apply to them. I guess when I target something, I want to eat it. ;) It's also a subtle suggestion I guess, some believe catch and release sockeyes in the Chilliwack is perfectly fine as it is not closed to fishing. Some believe they should totally be left alone.

Who's checking out your legs FA?

I went down on the way home from work today (about 5: 15) and watched for a while. Saw one jumper and that's it. Had to leave so another fellow could get turned around in his truck so I headed to Cates and watched the waters off Roche point for a while. Other than the most pleasant scenery on the beach...nuthin'.

Well, I went for a while on the 7th.  Sweet F%$k all.  I think I saw one on, but it was a ways up river.  Back on the topic of legs... mine are pretty pale, well the front anyway.  My calves are a (un)heathy lobster colour.  Wow was it HOT that day.

tried again today at various spots, no luck, no one seemed to catch anything. saw few of them jumping and some decent size pinks swam by very close to the shore.
