well I too used to fish ALOT. But now with kids( there too young to fish) I have cut back to once a week during coho and steelhead season. Usually on sundays, they go to their church and I go to mine. As I told my kids my church is on the river and I prey to the fish gods. That was my comprimise.
            I FISH THERE FOR I AM.

When your wife says you fish too much, fishing probably isn't the only issue with her. Sounds like something else is not right in the relationship; dig deeper.

PS a bigger mistake than asking us how much fishing time is reasonable, is telling her that you asked us!
