I was fishing that general area too tonight for a couple of hours. I hooked into one pink ;D but did not land it :(. Saw two pinks landed and several more hookups amongst about 10 people fishing. It was sure nice to feel a fish again on the light spinning rod. It will only get better from now on. There were a lot more risers than the previous night.

My son and I checked out several spots along River Rd. just after dinner tonight, but didn't see much happening, ie. no fish on, no risers  ???.  From some other posts I've read, maybe we were a bit early.  In any event, headed down to No. 3 Rd., just west of the Pier area where we had some luck last night.  Saw tons of fish moving up on the flooding tide, but they were all Sockeyes.  I know 'cause I accidentally hooked one under the shin retrieving my spoon.  Funny thing, they were mostly within easy casting distance, something Pinks are known for.  I thought Sockeyes tended to stay a bit further out  ???.  Oh well, got skunked tonight for the first time in three  :'(.  Had two Pinks on Tuesday and another two yesterday.  There's always tomorrow  ;D.
