Parking limited at Island 22 next weekend
« on: August 30, 2005, 01:16:44 AM »

Starting this Friday, September 2nd. to Monday the 5th. the annual Labour Day Equestrian event is scheduled. This means those areas normally used for day parking across from the boat launch will not be available. With expectations of 172 horses it will no doubt be busy. The entire north side of the dike from the gate house down to the end of the campground will be available for day parking. Once the boat launch and the north side of the dike are full we will have to close the park until space is available. I would encourage guides and their clients to try and travel together if possible. Outside of the park will be available but it will be a long walk.

With the park being first come first serve, parking is not guaranteed.

We appreciate your cooperation,

I don't see why not, the main concern in the email is the shortage of parking space.

If anglers were already not permitted to walk through the erosion area, you probably still can't do so anyways.
