In exactly the same email as I stated to Rodney....
1. I didn't have the permission of the other 2 guys in the pics to post it on the net so I protected and respected their privacy
2. I work for a local charter operator, and I prefer not to be recognized out there as "Fishin Magician" as I know what it is like to be followed around while fishing for myself, or with my friends or even while I am guiding--it makes a difference about whether or not I can successfully fish an area or concentrate hard without some guy tailing me or restricting my manoevre room in a limited space..not that I mind..but I am quite accepting of fishing the Cap with 25 or 60 boats...come on over and join the party..just not being tailed.
3. While I offer up useful information on the water to fellow anglers and other boats, I don't see a reason to be a "coach" to people who put in neither the effort nor desire to be successful fishing out there when I am out there for the sheer enjoyment and sport of it. I have invested my time and passion into a sport that I love--and it is just that which keeps me fishing.
4. I know what it is like to be "tailed" out there fishing and it is NOT fun. I remember one day being 6 miles off the slash out in the yonder---or something like a good 15 minute run off Cape Rodger Curtis and having 2 boats turn every which way following me while I was trying to locate the mass of bait I was hooking fish in.
At any rate, when I get my Grady White Marlin 30 footer, with twin 275 Mercury Verados, it won't matter, I'll make sure I am fishing away from most people--finding the prime spots where there are few people.
5. The picture just goes to show the type of results that are typical of a morning or afternoon fishing the area correctly---that's all there is to it.
6. I'll be fishing next weekend--looking for some big Cohos and maybe a Chromer Spring or two for the BBQ..and if you want to know where I may be fishing---I'll probably be at Ambleside if not the T10....
tight lines everyone, and get out there and have some fun before it's all done.....
