Muddy Vedder Oct.17th

The vedder is choclate milk now and progessively rising as I speak I think these fish will now get a good couple of days without so many hooks in the water.

wayyy too high.. you should have seen lickman. it looks like a warzone.

noo sorry i didnt bring a camera..  but the river stretched (at lickman) from almost the parking lot, on the bank, to the tree line on the far side..   it looked as if they did some logging because there were a bunch of trees lying in the middle of the river..  it was pretty cool to see nature take its course, some of its rapids near tamihi were prettty impressive. :o

Well as other people said during the last major rain storm a few weeks ago on the Vedder be very careful if you choose to fish during water conditions such as this.  It is dangerous not only because of the debris in the water, but because you cannot see where you are stepping if you do any wading. Secondly, banks will become unstable because of the cutting action of the high water and could easily crumble with the weight of a fisherman.  But if you choose to fish during high water conditions keep your wits about you, but better yet why not wait a few days for conditions to improve.
