Fishcat 9
« on: November 22, 2005, 01:41:52 PM »

I just bought a brand new Fishcat 9 - I took it out to Mill Lake on Sunday and I have to say, I've been fishing all my life and I can't believe what I've been missing. This is super. Easy to handle by myself, easy to row. Very stable. Even with an inflatable Mustang life preserver I was really comfortable. No noise - no water slapping the old aluminum. Very peaceful.

Now I want to get some flippers.

Is there a brand that fits over regular wader boots or do I need to wear wader booties?

What are you guys wearing?

What's recommended?

Any help or advice is apprecieated. Thanks.

I have a Water Skeeter Rebellion....I use Trophy XL fins with my toon...they fit over my booted neo's......bout 70 bux.....for summer time I use a pair of fins from Wal-Mart...think bout 35 bux....they fit over my feet......never used the oars that came with my toon.... :o

That's a knarly looking toe there.  ;)
Those fins look really good. Will they fit over a wader boot?
I'm very interested and will take them if they fit. They look narrow though - it looks like you would just wear the booties with those. Please email me your phone number and I'll call you Wednesday.
Thanks.

Rieber...just a word of caution,.....and I'm not tryin' to rain on your party FishFreak...but force fins were made for tubes...not tunes....in a tube u sit upto your chest in water....and your kick is a long slow kik from your feet to your hips......in a toon...you only kik from your knees down...my thoughts is a stiffer fin for the toon as you have a shorter leg kik....just my opinion...;)))

I would have to agree with mojo on this one. For use with a pontoon boat a stiffer set of fins such as Trophy XL's or Brownings would be much more appropriate. Not to take away from the force fins, but I'm sure that there are other belly boaters on this site who could better use them.
