Thanks for your input Iron noggin and as we get closer to this adventure i will definitely drop you an e mail . The great thing about my boat is the fuel economy is excellent so what you suggested sounds good as opposed to pounding my trailer to death and sandblasting  all the paint off the hull. In your opinion are the numbers of fish as high in Alberni as Renfrew (springs that is) . With the fish passing by Renfrew being Columbia , Fraser , Harrison and to many others to list wouldn't the amount be greater. Also has anyone tried the Nitnat lake I here this fishery is second to none , dead calm , amazing scenery and Huge tyees . My buddies from Duncan hit this last year and sent me some sweet pics of some of there trip , theses fish were all big tyees.

Port Renfrew is the way to go. check my gallery. Limeted out in springs and hooked over 50 coho in 4 hours. Fun on the fly
