just when i thought it coun't get better February 25th
« on: February 25, 2006, 11:26:40 PM »

well i thought the three queens was a great day which it was.today was just as grand. it started out at first light with my bud montegobay man. Three other guys there so the way we go start casting and casting and you guess it casting. well we casted so much that the three guys left and montegobay man says to me good as they are standing in the water when they didn't need to.you know what that is like.anyways back to fishing it was about 8:00am after my fingers were numb i make my cast and oh ya float down FISH ON!!! it took me for a good run montegobay man in tow so close to shore we could it was a wild and ya out comes the hook bye bye fish.So back up we goa little disapointed start casting and third cast in i couldn't believe it again fish on and the fight was on it was incredible up and down the run we went montegobay man laughing in believe what seemed to be a half an hour was probably 10mins. finally landed it a beautiful wild buck, took the pics and let him go.after smiles and laughing and hand shakes montegobay and headed back up. check the hook and line and the way we go again, not much surprises me but on my fourth cast and i saw that float
dipped i could not believe it FISH ON!!!!! but not for long just long enough to see the silver flash.
heart pumpin' totally for the cold. iwas a mazed of the morning i was having. as i.m waching montegobay man who can't believe that i hooked into a third fish in so little casts. well continuing on fishin' and talkin' i see my bud arm pull up and the words i love FISH ON!!!! my turn to go help montegobay man down we go and another beautiful wild buck take the pics and the way he goes.
this day does end here it just keeps get better. well i'm sure you don't want to here all the ugly details of how the day went so i will try to sum it up for : montegobay man 8 fish 2 of which landed and yours truly 8 fish 1 landed all fish today were wild. as i write this report i have flashbacks of the day itwas incredible. i don't mean to sound like my head is swelled but i've only been out 5 times this year and i'm a rookie. know this not happen again for a long time so i'm enjoying every minute.

thanks to montegobay man (my bud)

one more thing congrats to khim on his first of the year.

                        pics to follow  tight lines

Well done, not many days when a person can get into 8 in one day and in not the best of conditions either. Congrat's.

Congrat on the fantastic fishing.  I guess this is upper river fishing, since all landed fish were wild.

Dan the Man & I went out today, mostly at the lower, and winds were howling and sooooo coooold.  We had no luck much but heard that the Crossing area was pretty good.  So before we went home, we tried a run below the crossing. Sure enough we tracked down some activity.  Saw a fish roll in the tailout. My cast to it resulted in the float disappeared.  But my hook set missed the fish. The guy behind me saw the roll too, so he drifted down & hooked the beauty, which he lost unfortunately near to shore.  Then he proceeded to hook another fish but lost it quickly too. That is pretty much our story for the day. We left when snow flurries started to blast into our chilly bones.

Water is quite clear, and much lower than a week or two ago.  Hope next week will bring better weather.
