Shore Access on non-Tidal Fraser?

For those of us plebes that don't have boat access, where would one get shore access to the non-Tidal Fraser right now for the "other" kind of fishing?

Good one Max  ;D. I don't know much about the non-tidal bars (new to barfishing) but I went for a drive last week to check out Brownsville Bar under the Patullo Bridge (tidal of course). Closest place I guess for us east vancouver folks to barfish for springs. There were a few "wise men" (you know the old fishermen who are regulars there) who said action can be decent at times. About 8 fisherman were there trying their luck. No one had a hook up while I was there. Someone said 3 fish were caught last week. They were all using a bar rig with roe and 3 ounce weight. Fishing is good at slack tide they said. I have Friday off so maybe I'll give it a shot. The other place I heard of is Derby Reach but that is further away from Vancouver.

Not tried there but was told Ballam (just down stream from Peg) rd area in the 'Wack can be decent, scale if its low enough,pipline off #7 maybe,seen people do it in the back channle behind Herrling isl,might try ballam myself soon  for barring it if things pick up springwise,anyone  know when the Albion test fishery begins?

Thanks guys, I was trying to avoid the two "B" words, due to the flurry that gets stirred up every time they DO get used.  Yes, I use various techniques in various conditions. :o  Nothing closet about it :)

Water is high and too dirty.  Pick up "Fishing Fever".  Use short 4' leaders for springs.  None of these 20' leaders for flossing Sockeye.

Yeah, I was planning to "keep it short".  The springs sit near the bottom anyway.

If you're gonna do the Other type of fishing,do it right.A 10 ft leader will out floss a 4 ft leader everytime.All fish swim on the bottom in the shallower runs ,which is where you should concentrate your efforts.Be more concerned with a good, clean, snag free bounce and keep those hooks sharp .In fact I would carry a file and check every ten casts .You could also try "angling ",the definition is in the regs. ;)
