That's why I avoid those types of areas. More fun to find a honey hole myself.

No- I started at lower canal but did not touch anything nor see anyone with a fish on. Water was extremely low.

I thought I would try Lickman area fishing down to Bergman but could not stand the crowd and left.

I then went and tried below the ROCK QUARRY and fished some prestine water but did not touch anything either.

Went home after that- around 12:00

Hi steelieman,it is true, that a lot of steelie pack in that run,so if you want a spot, you have to go camp out there by 1 oclock after midnight(this is a joke from the regulars) :D :D.but again there is no challenging,is just a meat hole over there.if anybody want easy acess and try to catch one, just go over there, trust me.... ;)

So true  ;D

I remember the last time I was there, just watching. Every couple of minutes a new bunch of anglers would worm their way into the hole, and it would get more crowded literally by the minute. Thing is, there are quite a few fish there. I'm surprised they even bite, with all that pressure.

I am kinda surprised too as the water is gin clear and not very deep. With that many lures and baits coming down, they will still bite. Just goes to show how aggressive steelies can be.

Bill- the Vedder is such a huge river that you can always find solitude somewhere else. Eventhough I did not catch anything today fishing and walking below the crossing, I totally enjoyed it. Spoke to a couple guys here and there but it was nice. I had beautiful runs all to myself but unfortunately today, they were all sitting at Lickman. Almost impossible for them to get past those 40-50 fishermen.

Personally,i dont fish over there, but last sunday,i did brought my son down there, but right across from them, and let him see what is a gong show looks like at that area, plus you can see they are using difference methods to fish that area(like b.b,long line, long leader, plus more, but of course some are using the right way,at least my son know how lucky he is,doesnt have to fish in the gong show area, but still get fish.

Don't bother with those spots, there are lots of places steelhead hide, look in the deeper holdign water at these times, you'll find fish.

I'll be out tomorrow, although I don't know where, but I have some ideas  8)

Cheers,
Nicole
