Fished londons landing today. Fishing was steady throughout the day. Caught 4 chubs and 2 pike minnows and a lady beside me caught a small shad.It was very windy so i couldnt detect alot of the bites.

How small was the American shad, Joshua?  What kind of bait was she using?

the shad was just a little guy, about 3 inches. she was using dough but she snagged it in the back

When you caught a shad before (I've seen your post about shad) did you snag it, too?

nope it swallowed my worm right down deep in its throat

It is interesting that the Fraser has odd American shad.  I hope someday I can catch it.

I think there are alot of shad in the river right now. Yesterday they were jumping and making bolis like crazy. Every once in a while a big bull trout or npm would jump too I think they were be after the shad.

I was fishing the mouth of the Nic the  other day, and observed schools of small fish, 2 or 3 inches long leaping out of the water in unison, like schools of flying fish. Oh mighty Rodney , what were they?

I seriously doubt that there is a run of shad up the Fraser.
