July 4th evening on the tidal Fraser
« on: July 04, 2006, 09:47:44 PM »

After spending half of the day running around getting all more stuff for Fish for the Future, Nina and I went down to a secret spot on the Fraser after dinner.

Shhh... Secret spot, don't let anyone know if you recognize it! ;D ;D ;D

Anyways, armed with a light spinning rod and a small tub of dough, we made some casts into the weeder shallows to see if we could find some fish. A few peamouth chubs here and there, the bite was consistent. :)

Here is catch of today. I hauled this northern pikeminnow in on 4lb test Maxima and a size 14 hook. ;D Check out the bass pose. ;)

The usual companion on the tidal Fraser could be seen. ;)

The day finished off with a pretty sunset. ;)

Not too bad for an hour of relaxation after supper. ;)

Relax Dave, we still got a 20lb red spring sitting in the freezer, and a couple of coho, so we'll settle with these small fish and stay away from the gong. ;)
