Sox - August 7
« on: August 07, 2006, 05:25:19 PM »

Fishing was much better today.  I had brought Mrs. D, so it had better be better! ;)   We got on the bar at 0800 - not quite as early thanks to more stuff to pack (you'd think we were going on a weeklong trip  ::) )

Fished at the top end of the bar today, much better.  More guys into fish, better, positive attitude, even among those of us that WEREN'T catching fish.  It got to be picket fence time, and still everyone cast well, and helped out the couple of beginners that foolishly joined the fracas.  It took my wife and I 6.5 hours to bring in 4 sox using one rod.  I didn't touch a spring, but there were some  nice ones taken around me.

Pics in a bit.

p.s. Sorry Canoeman - due to the later arrival, I didn't have a chance to go by and give you a wake up knock.  Noticed you were down at the bottom when I left (or at least your boat was)

Tight lines!

Damned hot again.  This time I packed ice in to the bank with me so that the fish would hold up better.  It helped.

Actually had to take a break from Salmon tonight.  3 days in a row was enough  :o

Yeah - Tough life.  I know  ::)
