The Peg
« on: August 28, 2006, 07:20:21 PM »

Living only 5 minutes away I decided to take a cruise to Peg Leg after supper tonight and see what was happening.  WHEWWWWWWW, the fish are back by the looks of the fishermen on the banks.  Never mind tight lines, tight shoulders tonight.  Looked like fish being taken back to vehicles so good for the ones that can do it.  Fisheries were at Balllam Rd. coming out and making stops, so hope eveyone was honest.  I should have had the camera but.....  Don't forget about new air cleaners for the engines after the season too.

Thanks for the report Barn. How was the garbage situation that is if you got a close enough look. I may need to do another trip out there soon. ???

conditions were not to bad last night
lots of fish moved through between 5pm and 8pm
ahead of the comercial opening today
garbage wise well we filled a couple of bags
met a nice fellow named rick i belive picking up the cans and stuff

mental note " do not leave rod behind spot and then walk away"
as rod will end up in river when hooked on the back cast by next fellow  :o :o :o
and the chap this happend to did not even bat an eye lid when we told him what happened
now then it gets better lol, the guy leaves his socks on a stake on the river bank
goes away AGAIN for awhile
along comes MR JET BOAT close to shore creates large rolling waves
can you see where this is going "BYE BYE FISH"  ??? :P ::)

now then this guys luck did finally change
as the guy next to me a while later yells "SOMETHING ON"
sure enough it was the guys lost rod  :o :o :o
i tried for an hour hopping to snag lol that bait caster
as it is the only way im bringing a new rod into the house  :'(
my wife does know the difference between spinning rods and bait casters lol
sure enough the guy comes over and says thankyou
then i told him hed better go find this guy a beer atleast
sure enough a nice ice cold kokanee appeared out of nowhere???

plus my friend got his limit of socks and a nice 18lb spring as a bye catch  ;)
as for me well got my socks without disturbing any springs yet again  :P
all in all a very entertaining evening lol
