« on: September 02, 2006, 10:40:48 PM »

My bro and law was out today around the point Grey wreck beach area, lots of fish all around jumping,he managed to get four to the boat and lost two others with several other hits ,all fish were hit between 8 am and 930am,caution should be taken when trolling out in this area there are several commercial crab traps out there today ,its not a pretty sight when you hook into their ropes.

I promised the father-in-law I'd take him to the salt chuck this morning to chase sox, but when I got to his house with my boat this morning, not a soul was stirring, even after several minutes of knocking and ringing the doorbell, so I decided to go it alone. Got out there around 1st light with four other boats and by 8:30am I had played 8 and got 4 of them in the boat. Fun morning trying to drive the boat, play the fish and net the fish in moderate windy conditions!! Love the sox in the salt, and there all over the place out there. I thought a couple of them were going to jump right into the boat voluntarily! 8)

Big Steel; I pretty much always have at least one other person wanting to go with, but if father-in-law sleeps in again, I'll call you ; do you take calls at 4:45am? ;D.

And yes, FA father-in-law was beside himself when he heard about the fishing. He told me he even set two alarms for the trip; one for 4pm ::) and the other clock wasn't even turned on ;D. I promised him we could try again tommorrow. Maybe I'll even get the wife to come out too? I'll post results of tommorrows fun. Saw lots of guys with limits out there today; maybe we'll see some other reports here?
Cheers
