Anyone else having difficulties with inserting the surgical tubing into the float ? It's alot of hard work.

I Just cut a half inch piece for both ends, and inverted the rubber onto the float instead of sliding it. Also I dont really like the float to much, I think its because mine is a defect. Mine Has a hole in the top (which fills with water), and a bead inside that just rolls around with no purpose? Is this a defect float or does every ones have the hole, and the orange bead in theres?

Definitely a defect. Should not have any holes nor fill with water.

I cut the tubing the float came with into 3rds and put one on top and one on the bottom.  Just wet the tubing and it slides on no problem.  I suppose saliva could break down your line over time but use river water and it is easy.

Don't get too sassy there Roe Kid, remember that time last year when I gave you and your buddies S#!t for snagging chums on the Coquitlam at Gallette. I won't go into details but just remember.......

As for the floats, if you have a faulty one, take it back to the place of purchase. I'm sure they'll give you a new one.

FYI

In regards to the Surgical tubing length I do recommend sections of 1 inch so that the collar ends are completely covered. The float will then stay firmly in place and will not tangle on a bad cast or shift depth while fishing.  As noted earlier just wet the collar ends of the float and the tubing will slide right on no problem!

Big fisher if your float came out of the package that way then it is defective please return it to where you purchased it, if they wont replace it then e mail me and I will take care of you. 

The added length of the float is because of the collar ends that are needed to attach the float to the line. The long slim shape is reason why these floats are so sensitive and track so well in the water. The Stealth float is slightly more buoyant than a Drennan #3.

Like we've said randy, say what you want to say, but you are mistaking us for different people . Dont advertise something he and we didn't do. Please get your facts straight before embarrasing a well known forum member for something he never did, and would never do. I can only laugh because the first coho of the season for Randog either last year or the year before was snagged in the belly. And don't BS randy cuz i landed it and popped the hook.

It happens to the best of us.....and the worst. LOL
