Vedder Wed.
« on: October 12, 2006, 12:13:32 PM »

Well after the long weekend, need some, actually ALOT of exercise to work off those newly gained calories from that fat turkey.  So… hit the gym??  No way, off to Vedder we went.  Still a little slacked off from the weekend, we didn’t arrive at the river until 11.  Put on our waders fishing rods in our hand my buddy and I went for a walk searching for signs of coho or spring.  Well after a few hours of fruitless effort (fishingwise) we decided to take a rest, went back to the car to get the thermos and had a couple cups of coffee.  After a few minutes of rest decided to walk downriver this time, what do you know FISH.  This pool is not easy.  We use as little split shots as possible and try casting as gentle as we can after a few tries hey double header.  Need I say more…

spring and a coho

Good job. I also went fishing got up real early hoping to get to my spot first, but was beaten by 2 other guys. Got lazy and ended up walking the river, with not to many fishable spots, and many guys already filling the good water. The fish i did run into were all tight lipped. Were you fishing above tamahi? Also wittnessed at first light two 40 pound springs swim up a little current with like 6 inchs of water, I thought that was cool, but not for them.
