Late Salt Chuck Report, Oct.14/06
« on: October 15, 2006, 08:10:15 PM »

Headed out in the boat with a few people yesterday. We were planning on power mooching the mouth of the cap, but on our way there, we saw tons of chum and coho jumping so we just stayed there. Firtst 3 casts, missed the fish and the herring gone. Eventually had to switch over to zzingers, buzz bombs, and spoons because we ran out of herring. Caught nothing except sometype of cod thing. It was incredible though, fish jumping everywhere, almost into the boat :o. Saw some guy fighting a fish, then a seal. haha :D.

sorry, sorta go lazy on this report but you get the picture ;)

Tight Lines,
Coho Cody ;)

where did you see coho jumping cody? Good news if they were coho, many local saltys are concerned about the seemingly very low numbers in local hot spots. Might have to get the boat in the water this week..... I've been lazy hehehe

Never mind the late season fishing. Winter Spring fishing has started. Game ON! A fella I know, Rich, slammed 2 decent fish from Tunstall on Saturday. 14 lb and 11 lb feeders--that's not BAD given it's MID OCTOBER!!!!

Lucky lures were a Paddy Wagon and a Punk Skunk Gypsy in the larger size, 6 feet behind a flasher at 125 feet.  Way to go Rich and congrats on christening the new "old" boat on your 2nd trip out!  ;)

Yup. Rich is going to give his Robalo a good workout this winter---he's hooked now! Wish I had the boat over that way---it always seems to pick up over there first. Rich---remember who told you what spoons to use... I'd hope you're going to take me soon??  :D
