Well I did not have any good action but that is the norm for me these days. The only saving grace that made me feel a little better was, I was fishing next to some other very good short floating anglers and the only fish one of them caught was chum.

River conditions were the best in a while, a little colour and up around 3 to 4 inches.

Well tomorrow is another day.

PS Only saw 2 coho landed, both caught by sweeping. :o

was out at first light this morning, aiming for coho??? myself and three others working the run, some guy parks himself on the bank, directly across from me, so i move toward the tailout, and switch from roe sac to spoon. landed a pretty nice looking 16# chum, would have bonked it if it was a doe, but alas... was still fun to play on my 10ft convergence. unfortunately, that was it for the whole day. saw lots of fish, but I guess it was moving day, no time to eat. saw a couple of fish, one white spring, one spring jack snagged in the boulder run. lots of guys fishing there with 4 ft lead to swivel, and 4 ft leaders. nice work, morons., still just nice to be out for my first day of salmon fishing on the Vedder.

Yeah... I fished the vedder a few times in the last couple days, and yesterday had some pretty nice coho moving through.  The best part was that I managed to roll a couple on a squamish poacher that my wife tied for me.  I only fished a couple hours, but the water is definately up a bit and has a bit more colour to it with fish on the move.

My buddie even managed a nice big spring on an 8wt  :o  You shoulda seen the look on his face... the biggest fish he's ever caught as he's never fished salmon before.
