Squamish High School Fishing Trip October 22nd
« on: October 24, 2006, 07:45:19 PM »

I started a high school fishing club at my school and took them up to the Squamish on Sunday.  For most of the students this was their first ever river fishing experience.  The trip was amazing.  I taught them how to drift fish with wool and all but 2 of the students caught fish.  In all over 30 chum were hooked with 10 making it to the beach.  5 made it to the BBQ.

oldtimehockey, congratulations for getting the club going and having an excellent group trip. I think some of the younger members on the forum are now very envious of your students. Maybe other teachers on the forum will start similar clubs and eventually lead to an event where all clubs can come together for a day of fishing.
