Question about synopsis
« on: October 25, 2006, 09:31:15 AM »

In the synopsis some lakes say "fly fishing only" and some say "artificial fly only bait ban single barbless hooks" . whats the difference? can i use spinners on the lakes that say "artificial fly only bait ban single barbless hooks". i found that confusing thanks

Sounds to me like the same thing only phrased a bit differently.
Remember you can Fly Fish-sort of-with a Spinning Rod and a float.

Fly fishing only means that you are only allowed to have a fly on your line. ie no wieghts or indicators

Aftificial fly only means that you must use a fly but they do not care what sort of other termianl gear you use ie weights, indicators

To answer your question, you cannot use a spinner in a lake listed as artificial fly only. However, you are allowed to fish a fly on a spinning rod with some split shots.
