Just a suggestion lets not give this river anymore attention on the forum. We have seen other systems suffer with immense pressure in the last two years lets not wreck them all.

The Little Campbell is just that "LITTLE".......
In my opinion, a rural/somewhat residential stream of that size and delicate nature, should be closed to all fishing...
There is no reasong to fish that system, Every fish taken from it is damaging to it. Yes. I know there is a hatchery feeding it but why do you think there is a Hatchery there??? Maybe because it was destroyed and the hatchery was the only viable choice to bring it back from the brink. I cant stress enough that a stream of that size is trully on the brink....
I choose to stay away.

Just my $0.02

#1 - if Bad fish has his FN status then this guy could be out snagging what ever he liked with a capilano special...let try and give anyone who want to learn how to induce a strike, as much help as we can!!!

Keep in mind BadFish that the internet can spread info very quickly and this board has a lot of members that are very resource minded.  Many fishers here have a "better let un said" mentallity when it comes to smaller systems that may not handle a ton of pressure very well.

With recent closures of rivers on the east coast of the island (due to lack of rain), I would think the little campell is a good river to treat gently.

Good luck, I have never fished it so I gots nuthen else to say!

"why are you grilling my onions?"

I love that line - I'm going to start using it.

Personally, I think all the small vulnerable flows such as Little Campbell, Nicomen, Alloette ... should be closed to fishing. No debate - just my 2-cents worth.

I do agree with bb - I hate seeing attention brought to these small streams.

I was over at the Allouette river on Saturday watching all the chum moving up & spawning, it didn't strike me as a small creek or seem threatened by lack of salmon, I saw plenty of trout doing the bump and gobble as well, maybe just the time of year? or certain species of fish in trouble?
