^ I BUY THOSE SHRIMP RINGS FROM SAFEWAY, THAW THEM OUT, PUT EM IN A RUBBER MAID CONTAINER, AND ADD SOME SALT TO FIRM THEM UP, ALONG WITH SOME PRO CURE WIZARD HOT RED, SHAKE THEM AROUND 4 A BIT, PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE OVER NIGHT, THEN IN THE MORNING B4 I HEAD OUT I PUT THEM IN A ZIP LOCK WITH A LITTLE BORAX ! THEY LOOK AMAZING IN THE WATER ! THEY GLOW !

Good report. I've found that borax makes them soft and fall apart. But then again, i haven't salted them before boraxing them.

The IGA in Langley (no idea about the other ones) has the shrimp rings on sale for 5 bucks, AND 2 for 1!

Hey, after curing them, how (or can you) store them for longish term?  Can you do a ton of them to use throughout the season or is it better to actually plan ahead? (uugh!)

i use prawns, shell on and i don't do anything to them other than cook em. After a day on the water i just throw em back in the freezer till next time out. I generally do up 2 dozen at a time but rarely go through a dozen in a day. I've caught fish on prawns that have been frozen and thawed 2 or 3 times.
