flyfishing for dollies on January 13th

Great day to be out with winter steel and another buddy. We fished a spot somewhere in the valley with ice along the shoreline. Got out at 1:00pm in the sunshine and it was gorgeous. We hooked five dollies and one was a fat 4-5lber that WS caught. Had to clear the ice off the guides often and keep the hands warm. They were caught on sculpin patterns and my spinner fly. No one else to be seen for the two hours we fished. Picture of the big one will be in my album.

Rob landed that fish on his 5 wt sage so it gave that rod a good bend, the others were more like 15-17 inches.
