Since the reports have been a little slow lately I thought I would share a quick one and a great pic.
The weather was frigid yesterday but Kim and I decided to head out to the local river to give it a try anyway. We slept in to avoid the cold of the morning and hit the river at 10am to fish untill last light.
The river was off colored but we were still very hopefull and just glad to be out. We fished alot of nice water and Kim was rewarded with her first ever steelhead (on her first ever trip winter steelheading!) Here is her fish, I think the smile says it all!
The fish put on a great show and we had to run after it as it headed down stream. She caught it in a great looking slot that was around 2ft deep with good chop for cover.
We did not see any other fish but this fish made our day and Kim will now be hooked on Steelheading for life!
I am very proud of her and she is well on her way to becoming a good fisherwoman!
