Headed out today with a partner to the flow. He has done a lot of lake fishing in the past years, but not much river fishing before, as he just started last year. We started high up on the flow, then worked our way down. We talked to numerous people who hadnt had any luck. We fished everything from roe bags, worms, wool, blades, jensen eggs. NADDA
. Our second last stop down river didn't produce anything either, so we decided to head way, way up the river for some strange reason
. We arrived and did some exploring and came to a spot. As we arrived I talked with cohoslayer who was fishing but didnt have any luck. So just after him and his buddy left, we settled into the run. On about his 7th or 8th cast, he says "i got one!" I then move i head slighty towards the right and no doubt, HES FIGHTING A STEELHEAD! So I place my rod down and sprint through the bush toward him and jump down into the water. A couple fisherman below the run come darting up to see the beautiful specimen. The 6lb. wild bullet chrome doe smacked his colorado blade like there was no tomorrow
. So after a short fight, he slides it in to my hands and I hand over the fish to him and get the camera and the memory was captured
.
All in all, it was a great day to be on the flow
.
Cheers,
Coho Cody
