registered trade/company name
« on: March 08, 2007, 02:22:21 PM »

how does a person go about registering their company/domain name on the web , understand that you may have used it for years but should someone else register it officially its theirs .
registered the company name  provincially, can I register the name federally ? or is that the same as a trade name/Mark ?

You can go to sites like http://www.godaddy.com  or http://www.1and1.com

prices are about 8 to ten dollars for a domain name per name.  You will need a credit card, and can only register names that have not already been taken.  It can be quite difficult to get the name you want because so many have already been registered.

Hope this helps,
