Boat anchor
« on: March 19, 2007, 09:50:58 PM »

I've got a 14' aluminum boat that I'd like to get a river anchor for, I've seen river anchors for sale but they are all in the 40lb plus range, anybody got any advice on what weight a anchor should be in the chilliwack area of the Fraser? I use a 15lb anchor in the lower river and it works fine in the mud but it isn't designed for the rocky upper Fraser. Any input would be welcomed!

I would think a 30lb. river anchor should do the job in most areas for you.
Make sure to have a good heavy chain of 14ft in front of it.
