Lafarge Lake Mar.28/07 (pic. added)
« on: March 28, 2007, 09:16:29 PM »

Got off school early today at 12.50, just like every wednesday.  Headed to the lake around 1.30. Spent 2 hours trolling around with nothing, quite unusual for the so called lafarge guru ::). I then went near a drop-off and started fishing chronies. I overheard to spoonfishers talking, one saying the fish were schooled in one corner of the lake. So I paddled my way down there, then overheard the name Derp. Asked the one closest to me if he was Derp and he replied yes. Talked with them for a bit as i trolled around the little hole the fish were sitting in. Constantly, ever 5 seconds, nudge nudge nudge. Couldnt set the hook on the darn things. Then finally i started hooking them. Hooked around 20 fish, kept 2. Had to leave at 4. On the way out, jetboatjim arrived and chatted with him for a bit. Maybe he'll post on his day out there.

Might be back on Friday with Hook Set.

Nice fish Cody!  I haven't fished Lafarge in years.  Used to go out and toss power bait and fish right off the bottom.  I think this year I'm going to learn to toss feathers though and catch them right.

Went to lafarge again today with Hook Set and The Baiter. Fishing wasn't as great as wednesday, but we manged about 10 to our boats ;). Sinking line didnt produce anything, so we all got out our floating line and then slayed. 8)
