well we have to think about it. Are otters supossed to be in there? is that a natural habitat for them (meaning that they weren't illegally dumped in lafarge) if so let em be. If not Geeeeeeeetttemm out!

Just wondering how they would get illegally dumped in there and what purpose it would serve to be dumped in there.

I say leave them be.

Should be lucky to have such wildlife so close to an urban setting.  Fish are put in there for everyone's enjoyment including the birds and the beasts.

BBQ them. I get the hind leg. Maybe make some slippers from the fur. There so many now some are going to starve and that's when they head for Lafarge. I really like them and all wildlife (except seals) but when they have no natural predators to keep there numbers down, you have nature out of balance. Not that I,m an authority on these maters just expressing my feelings.

I think there are too darn many people fishing Lafarge lake, maybe we should trap some of them and relocate them to Saskatchewan. Lots of room for them there. We will collar them and if they rerurn we will put them down.Maybe use leg hold traps to send them a message so they will remember where they were trapped ;D

Your logic falls apart if you replace "otters" with "humans".

Perhaps we were dumped here by aliens - should we be trapped?

Leave him/her there, it makes things more interesting. So it eats a couple stockers per day, big deal. Those icecream pailers eat far more than the otter. >:(. Being an urban lake, it enhances the surroundings for young and old to enjoy. If anything, it keeps the schools of fish moving around the lake. As long as the wildlife poses no danger to humans the otter should be left alone. To remove the otter(s) because people aren't catching enough fish at a put and take lake would be ignorant and selfish. Considering how many fish are put in Lafarge, I am certain there is enough for man and beast to share. Plus having a little buddy out there saying hi now and then is pretty cool.
