chironomids definately work great up there, if you have a sounder there are actually three depressions on the resort side of the lake that always do well. Or you can fish scuds just off the drop-offs, I like to bounce them off the weed tops. Right in front of the resort watch the water, big guys cruise in 3-5ft of water. I've done over a dozen fish in an hour or so on that lake and love it. Although you can fish the small channel at the end of the lake, I don't find it necessary to go that far, unless sight seeing
over 4lbs is easily possible, so be ready to get the rods yanked if not secured in the boat or hand well. I almost lost one 2 years back there
Oh and scuds are anywhere from size 10 to 14, I like to tie pregnant patterns and even some with ice mist blue dubbing.
