Obviously the term "Lafarge Guru" used by Cody is a humorous take of the whole situation, not to be taken too seriously. Cody wouldn't self-proclaim that he is a all-round fishing guru, the term is used since others have acknowledged the fact that he seems to catch much more fish in Lafarge Lake than other anglers. If there is a problem with that, then some lightening up maybe needed to loosen a few knots.
I often forward Cody's Lafarge reports to the hatchery staff who are always interested to see results after their work. Small urban fisheries such as this are designed to accommodate youngsters who are unable to travel far. There's no shame in participating in it, catching and killing a few fish, and reporting the success. Personally I would like to see myself out there if these lakes are closer to me.
No one should also be hassled for having "hero" shots. I certainly enjoy seeing them. Cody does a good job by enjoying all fisheries instead of limiting himself to just a couple of species that some regard as more superior than others. He's friendly and always keen to help others who need assistance. What more can you ask him for?
Nice catches Cody, hopefully tomorrow I'll be doing the same.
