long weekend plans
« on: May 15, 2007, 05:30:13 PM »

Just wondering what plans other members have for the long weekend?  My girlfriend and I have never fished past Hope so we have decided to take a trip up to tunkwa. We managed to reserve a campsite at the resort and will use this as a basecamp to explore a few lakes around the area.

Lou will turn things around with his game and the Canucks will make their way back to the top of their division... Canuck's have a great chance of going all the way this year... maybe you can save this post so I can say I told you so in a couple of months Smiley

I have been in that hole area the past couple weeks and hit over a dozen lakes. The fishing has just started to pick up in the past few days. We were at some higher elevation lakes of the coquihalla on the weekend also, and they were fishing well at about 3600ft. A float tube is the best for most of these smaller lakes but a boat is a must in tunkwa.Good luck out there and conserve your catch.TIGHT LINES!

Heading up to the Merrit area on Thursday night for 5 days. Probably go to Mamit Lake the first day, Nicola the second, and try another one after. Can't wait to get up there!
