Saw some amazing things today at the Boat Launch. Never thought I would see someone drop there boat off the trailer and onto the ramp. That was priceless.
Are long weekend boat launches always a zoo? I have pictures but it's probably not cool to post a picture of someone else's misery.

Why not? Just blur out the peoples faces. Crap happens to all of us. If you cant laugh at yourself than you shouldnt laugh at anyone else. Oh ya boat launches are always a zoo on long weekends thats why my boat stayed home this weekend.

most generally boat launches on the long weekends are a carnival show, thats why if I have to launch I make sure Im there at first light to beat the crowds, then back in early afternoon to beat the mass rush for the ramp at dark. Last summer I watched a novice boater hit two boats and nearly take out the peir while trying to trailer his boat and when he finally got it on the trailer the 18 foot fiberglass boat sat sideways on the trailer if you can imagine that.

Haha the good ole' long weekend launches  almost as bad as sockeye season launch time....

I've seen some of the funniest things at launches its not even funny.....from; guy's not realizing that their trailer is not coming down the ramp and after they were trying to load onto others trailers  ; to driving too deep and loading the front 1/2 of the boat into the box of the truck....to the good old I'm going to back out to my windows to launch my boat!

but I must say the boat off the trailer or back of the truck...is a true classic

I like watching people go ballistic as when someone pulls their boat out of the water at a busy launch then they proceed to unload all their goods out of the boat and into the truck right on the launch with 2-dozen angry operators trying to load or launch their boats.

Another good one is when people start launching three wide at Allouette and someone can back down in a straight line.

But the best has to be Sunday afternoons at the launch with a good wind and chop going and poor shmucks who don't have enough experience just can't line their boat onto the trailer. That one sucks because it happened to me about 20 years ago and I'll never forget that hopeless feeling when you're by yourself and the chop starts beating the crap out of you and your boat. Oh ya - fun times.

I spent a few coffee breaks down at the old launch in Port Moody.
Was cheap entertainment and who knew that a K car wouldnt be able to hold a 28 ft. boat on a slimy launch.
The best was the 4x4 at Tsawassen that was swallowed up by the incoming tide.

It was my first time seeing a boat slip off the trailer and I still can't get the visual out of my mind. 

Ranks up there with watching a pathfinder back in so deep they had water coming in through the drivers side doors... That's move is also a classic i've seen repeated many times.

I also love the skid marks someone left up the ramp! You have to know those were good times haha
