Copper line instead of leadcore

Saw a show last night on fishing the great lakes where they used copper line instead of leadcore. Guide on there said it sank much better than leadcore. Again if somehow you lost your line it would be better to lose the copper than the leadcore. Price is reasonable. Here's the link:
