I concur with you Nicole as I was out checking the water level on both rivers.
Its such a shame to see the Chehalis turned into such a pitiful river. I remember during its glorious days, we were into multiple hookups of steelhead, cohos were plentiful and the reds may be low but we were hooking them consistently during July. The hatchery doesn't seem too concern with the water level. I see people working around the hatchery area feeding the smolts but if the water is so low, how can they return?
I think if the Vedder drops a couple feet more, the river would be in perfect condition for July.
