North Island Fishing

Well we were out on Friday and caught a few Chinook. Not as big as the weekend before but a few more around. We got 7. The biggest being about 20lbs. Going to QCI for 3 days on the West coast in Rennell Sound.

Got back from QCI. In a day and a half's fishing I caught 5 springs (biggest 32lbs), kept 1 and ate it. Kept 2 hali's, 1 snapper, and let a 1/2 dozen Lings go.

Went out of McNeill on Sunday and caught a 50 and 25lbs hali's and let 2 smaller Springs go. Fishing is good when you combine presentation and location.
