Nice Day on Alouette

First, a BIG thanks to "The Roe Kid" for posting his report a few days ago. It was the motivating factor in getting me to the Lake today. I've been putting it off for a few weeks now and Roe Kids report made me realize that if I didn't want to miss another Kokanee season I had better make plans :D

I arrived at the lake at 7:00 for the gate opening and got onto the totally flat calm water about a half hour later. Headed over to my usual spot and started trolling a red Kokanee Killer. To make a long story short it was a bonanza of a day as I lost count after 20. All of the fish were in the 10-14" range and unfortunately I broke my 5wt rod at Fawn Lake last year so my 6wt was a bit overkill. I stayed until the winds started picking up around noon.

nice report there ya i'll have to get out on the lake again before it becomes busy with the weather getting nicer all the water skiers and sea doos on the lake.
