So, I took my kids & my Dad to catch a few trouts. Wow, what a crowd.

I figure I can't lose after the restocking. Boy, was I wrong.  I showed them how to put the worm on & teach them on watching the float. I wanted so bad to get one on my kids rod.  Everyone else around me's just catching one after another. I ended up with nothing even after I saw my kids' float go down 3X.

Then, I see Rod & his friend. Caught 2 right off the back, then gave them to my kids.

Nice seeing you again, glad to provide some excitement for the kids too.

Make sure you cast to that secret corner next time. Erin must have had around 7 or 8 bites, only hooked two fish because she wasn't looking at the float when the other ones bit. Try a skinnier float, or even use a strike indicator that flyfishermen use. A few years ago, Marco used a strike indicator on the spinning rod and simply dropped it down beside the pier, he caught quite a few fish that way.
