Sweet day at the Local Pit June 19/07
« on: June 19, 2007, 10:06:57 PM »

You all know my local lake. Fished there from 6.30-8.30. Let's just say couldnt keep em off. Fish on every 3 minutes. Lost count how many bites, hooked, and landed.

However, landed something somewhat unusual. I've seen 2 caught my whole life fishing the lake..........A kokanee. When i hooked it, I knew it wasnt a big fish, but it had a lot of spunk, getting airborne 7 times.

Here it is..only fish i kept all day.

Tight Loops,
Coho Cody ;)

My guess would be that some kokanee get mixed in with the trout that they release.
Way to go cody sounds like a blast!!

Vito, troll with full sink right infront of the beach near evergreen. If its slow there, head down north on the same side and troll there. Those both are deeper holes.

Use a small sparkle leech with no bead. I tie my own, i use black crystal chenille and fire orange marabou tail. Size 8 hook.
