Greetings Fellow fishermen.  I'm Tom D from NC, winston-salem North Carolina.  I am an avid if not gifted fisherman, 50's, and enjoy both fly and spin fishing.  Where I live I have the opportunity for a wide variety of fishing, including large and smallmouth bass fishing, fly fishing in the NC mountains, and surf fishing the NC Coast.

I work for a large financial institution in IT, married and kids are grown (one is a teacher, Rod - HS science).

Sadly, I only speak English and a little HS French, although I can muster a little pirate, which it looks like some speak here   :D

I've fished lots of locations from upper Manitoba to St. Croix USVI.  and am really looking forward to being in Vancouver and Victoria over the next two weeks.

I'm also a melanoma survivor, so slap on that sunscreen, and put on that wide brim!

BTW, this site is fantastic!

Name: Tim
Age: 28
Languages Spoken: English, Chinese Mandarin
Residence: Coquitlam, BC.
Occupation; grad student (SFU Biology)
Favorite food: Sushi, seafood in general, Chinese
Favorite fish species: I have many but specifically to BC waters it's a toss up between the halibut and the kelp greenling
I currently do mostly shore/beach fishing off Burrard Inlet, mainly for bottom fish (sole, flounder, greenling), also perch (still looking for a good pier for these! I'm referring to the pile and striped perch); I fish mainly at Belcarra Regional Park, but not at the pier anymore....in fact, ironically I'm getting better catches from shore than off the pier...at the moment doing some exploration for new sites in the park and outside as well..I'm also thinking of trying my hand at salmon fishing later on in the season.

Other misc. info: Am a long distance runner (proud to say that I have done a marathon!), also enjoys hiking, science & nature;

Name: Jordan
Age: 18
Languages: English and some Spanish
Residence: Delta
Occupation: Student (Douglas College)
Favorite Food: Not fish ironically, not sure, pretty much most foods :)
Fav. type of fishing: Rivers for salmon, steelhead and trout
Fav. species: Steelhead
Bio: Been fishing since I was 3(thanks dad), started fishing the Vedder at 4 and the addiction went from there. My passion is steelheading, took me a few years to get my first but was hooked the second I started, just something about the snow, cold, early mornings and lack of pressure on the local flows ;D If there is freshwater I have prob. fished it, would like to get more into the ocean side of things but that will come. Love fly fishing and try and use that method more often then not unless the situation doesn't allow it. My favorite trip of all time was fishing the rivers along the coast of Vancouver Island with nothing but the fly rod, what a beautiful place to fish and hope to live over there some day. Also have spent some time volenteering for different projects with hatcheries and stream restoration as I hope we can keep doing this for years to come. Love to talk fishing and have no problem helping out a beginner if they want to shoot me an email or meet up, no greater satisfaction for me then teaching someone about the sport I love :)

Other info: I am a sport nut, huge canucks, lions, Cardinals and Patriots fan. Play college baseball and that is my other passion in life.
Tight lines and hope to see you out on the flow :)
