Hi folks, I'm Terry Davison and due to emigrate to BC on 10th October and hopefully settle down in the Chilliwack area.  I served nearly 33 years in the Royal Navy as an engineer officer and I'm now hoping to work and retire in your beautiful country.

A long time "coarse" fisherman in the UK, I'm a UK qualified Coarse Angling Coach and have fished team matches in National Championships (I've even beaten a couple of English world champions in the odd match).  Although I specialised in match fishing, I do a bit of carp fishing, sea fishing and what we in the UK call specialist fishing, not to mention coaching children most weekends.  I'm hoping to start fly fishing when I get to BC and having the odd dabble with those mighty sturgeon.

Obviously if anyone is interested in coarse or carp fishing, I'll be bringing a lot of gear over and can show you how we use it.
Will update more when I settle down.
Regards,
Terry D.

Hey,

Name is Norm, I live in Port Moody.  Moved here when I was 16 from Poland, born on Sep 26.  New to the whole fishing scene, my buddy owns a boat so I get to go fishing around Bowen lots.  I do however preffer to fish rivers, Vedder seems to be the river of choice now a days although I must say that it's become a bit of a gong show last few weeks.  I like tasty tasty sushi, tuna sashimi...hehe.  Play some football also collect scorpions and tarantulas.

Hello all, I am not entirely new to fishing but relatively new to fishing in Canada.  Most of my experience in my younger days was Carp fishing in South Africa so this past year has been a big learning experience for me.

I have no particular preference for any particular fishing style.  I took a fly fishing course last October for the hell of it and I have been figuring it out, with varying degrees of success, from there.  So far I have managed to haul in a 2 pound bass, a few small trout and, thanks to some great articles on this site, I have been doing quite well course fishing for chub on the Fraser North Arm.  It's been great fun rediscovering an old passion and I am eager to learn more.

Aside from fishing I am married to a lady who has no interest in fishing but is very tolerant and understanding nonetheless.  No children, mortgage, work with computers.

Geoff.
