Father's Day Fishout
« on: June 25, 2007, 12:20:24 AM »

One or both of my kids try to get together with me to fish the Father's Day weekend.  My son had to work but my daughter was itching to go so I picked her up at the ferry late Fri. afternoon....she was coming in from UVic.  Saw two bears, one moose and a couple dozen deer on the drive up to our cabin on Link Lake....always a bonus to the trip. The next morning we woke up to a beauty of a day...I set up the boats and we headed out. Here are a few pics of us out on the water:

Fishing was tough.  In fact it sucked ....just a couple each in the first two hours and the chronies just didn't seem like they were going to be on the move so I made an executive decision and decided that we should drive the half hour or so up to another lake up in the hills where I keep another boat.  Good thing we did because we started getting into fish immediately.  The weather changed for the worse for awhile but it didn't matter.  Normally I hate fishing two in a boat but when you're with one of your kids...well, what can I say.  We got into over 30 fish, were into several doubles and didn't even notice the psssng rain.  My daughter wanted to bonk a fish for dinner but wouldn't you know it as soon as she said it all we could hook were smaller fish so she kept two (one for each of us because it's a one fish limit).  When we got off the lake the mossies were so ferocious we decided to clean the fish down at the creek that we cross over to get there.  All in all it was a great day.

Nice report and pics.... Glad you got the photo posting figured out , only thing is when you copy and paste them. you want entire link thats in the box. i think you did it right on your test post in the other section..

Ya, I liked the way I did it on the test post but I must have done something different with this post.  Hopefully I'll get it right on the next one.
