fishing in indonesia - first day July 24th, 2007
« on: July 24, 2007, 11:07:06 PM »

went out to the north sea in java island , indonesia

the depth between 25 to 75 metres using bottom fishing as method with prawn + squid as the main baits

tried some minnows but did not work

got some barracuda , yellow fish and some fishes for aquarium ( very beautiful )

wave very slow and i even slept in the boat ( trust me its very cheap renting a boat here with a local fisherman ! )

next time pictures will follow ( around 2nd august )

see you :)

heeh i live in the 23 degrees celcius city so it is very fine :). Hi yeah i hope i can take some pcitures for the next outing since i will borrow my friend's digital camera . The sea it is very calm and lots of barracuda for sure. Trust me the fishermen here are very different compared to the developed countries. They do not even have a reel or fancy gears along. My tica low profile baitcast was the best gear out there there. They only used the line as their rod ! so when there is a fish on their hand becomes bloody if it is a big fish. Come to Indonesia and feel it !.

Are you living in indonesia or vacationing?  I would love to go there and PNG just to see the sites and such and of course for fishing  ;D

Cheers,

Jon

hah they dont care about sharks , they care much about how to pay the people that they  borrow the money from and according to statistic the percentage being biten by shark is much smaller than being killed by 4 metres wave
