Freedom and fish! July 28th, 2007
« on: July 29, 2007, 06:04:31 PM »

Well, I had my candidacy exam this past friday.  I had studied for this thing for months, and I passed no problem, but to celebrate my new freedom my wife and I went to our favorite creek in the rockies to burn some paper (that I will never have to read again) and catch some little brookies.  ;D

just gotta have a picture of me now than I am free!

Here is the type of fish I was catching.  Mostly small, but last year I managed two about 14 inches.  Not this time though.

Another smallie.  But such nice colours on these fish.

Finally, a closeup of a primespot.  With no fish though.  Fishing was tough as it was really hot, and the bugs just never appeared.

Jonny 5, good luck with your springs this summer, while I will be chasing these little guys  ;)

Congratulations Jon!!!! One big step taken. The fishs are beautiful, any chance of you coming this way soon? Pinks should start anytime now. I'm going with Kelly (BRC) on Thursday for a fishing day to Squamish/Whistler area. Will let you know how it was.
I've been trying the fly set up and so far I've hooked almost everything around except a fish  ;D. Will keep trying!!

Me and Mark are heading back there in october for another 72 hour fishing extraveganza!  Good luck in whistler, say hi to Kelly, and bite his dog for me if you can (I owe him that).  jaja
