Well, headed to the island for our annual trip. The first line wet was at the mouth of the Oyster River in Saratoga Beach.
Due to the early timing, no fish or fisherman were around, so I thought I'd skip the whole beach thing and stick with the Campbell River instead...if it was any good.
Next morning we headed out to Campbell River to fish in the Campbell River. Fishing was good, especially with a Ice Capp from Timmies to finish off the day. Landed about 10 pinks, all on the centerpin drifiting a fly and sometimes pink wool. Also hooked 2 summer steelies in a row and a spring!
After that, it was Campbell River 5 mornings straight in a row
.
Nice one on the fly
Kyle's nice doe
Casting for chrome
Hooked on chrome
Oh, and some incredible cutty fishing at creek mouths and in a secret creek
. 50/50 gear and fly. The biggest one, the hatch, had a whole crayfish a long with a little salmon in its stomach.
Chasing Cutties

Spring: 1 Almsot spooled me on my small winter run pin...took backing until popping off.
